How Will My Practical Assessments Be Arranged?
If you're already working within a training or assessment environment, your practical IQA activities may be carried out within your existing role, providing suitable opportunities are available.
If you're not currently working in an IQA role or don't have access to suitable assessors, please speak to us. We may be able to help you access appropriate opportunities to complete your practical evidence.
Your assessments will be arranged subject to availability and the requirements of the qualification.

After enrolling, we'll arrange an individual induction via live video call.

You'll receive guidance throughout your qualification rather than simply being left to work through your portfolio alone.

Your IQA qualification develops your Internal Quality Assurance skills. It does not replace the subject-specific qualifications, occupational competence or experience required within the sector you are quality assuring.
For example, someone quality assuring assessment within Beauty Therapy would normally be expected to have appropriate knowledge, qualifications and occupational competence within that sector, alongside the appropriate assessment and quality assurance competence required by the centre and awarding organisation.

"Do I Have to Be a Qualified Assessor First?"
There are no specific requirements for this qualification.
You may therefore be able to progress directly to the Level 4 IQA without already holding CAVA.
However, many IQAs progress from assessment, and employers, training centres or awarding organisations may have their own requirements regarding assessment qualifications, occupational competence and experience.

"I'm Not Currently Working as an IQA."
You don't necessarily need to already hold an IQA role when you begin.

Your theory learning, tutor support and portfolio development are completed remotely, and we'll explain how your practical IQA evidence and observations will be completed as part of your induction.
There is no requirement to travel to HTTA for classroom-based learning.

When Can I Start?
You can start your online learning once enrolled.
You don't need to wait for a fixed course start date.

How Long Do I Have to Complete the Qualification?
