Your qualification combines flexible online learning with practical assessment evidence.
1. Start with Your Personal Induction
After enrolling, we'll arrange an individual induction via live video call.
During your induction, we'll:

2. Complete Your Theory Online
Work through your learning materials and assignments through our online learning platform.
Study at your own pace around your existing work, business and other commitments.
You have up to 12 months to complete your qualification, giving you the flexibility to fit your studies around your other commitments.
3. Receive Tutor Support
You're not expected to figure everything out by yourself.
Your tutor will support you with your theory work, assessment planning and preparation for your practical assessment requirements.
4. Carry Out Real Assessment Activities
CAVA is a practical assessor qualification.
You'll need to demonstrate your ability to assess learners using appropriate assessment methods and gather the evidence required by the qualification.
If you're already working with learners, we can discuss how your existing role may provide suitable assessment opportunities.
If you're not currently working as an assessor, we'll discuss the options available to help you meet the practical requirements.
5. Complete Your Assessor Observations
Your practical assessment activities will be observed and assessed, via live video link.
These will be booked separately, subject to suitable learners and assessor availability.
We'll make sure you understand exactly what is expected before your observations take place.
