Hi, I’m Karen – founder of The Aromatherapy Geek and passionate advocate for all things aromatherapy!

I’ve been a qualified aromatherapist since 2003 and a teacher in further education since 2007, when I took the leap and launched my own training academy: Holistic Therapies Training. Fast forward to today, the academy now offers over 100 courses across the South West, supported by a brilliant team of 9 tutors – and we’re still growing!

Based in beautiful (though often rainy!) North Devon, I live with my lovely husband, two grown-up sons, and three mischievous cats. Alongside running the academy, I travel across the UK working as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for various schools and colleges – quality and standards matter deeply to me.

My work has been featured in the Swindon Advertiser, and I’ve had the pleasure of being interviewed on Swindon Radio to talk about my journey in therapy and training. Along the way, I’ve also added author, podcaster, blogger, and vlogger to my toolkit – all fuelled by my love for sharing knowledge and making aromatherapy accessible and enjoyable for all.
