Course overview
The Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills by covering the following mandatory units; facial skincare, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, manicure, pedicure, client care and health and safety, retail stock display & the creative skill of nail art.

You will also develop knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

This qualification is completed through the exam board - The VTCT (Vocational training and charitable trust); and is Ofqual regulated.

Alternative qualification:

We also offer an alternative Level 2 Beauty qualification:
VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Beauty Specialist Techniques (units include: Health & safety, client care, lash & brow treatments, facial, make-up, waxing & tanning) - Please ask for further details.

14 day practicals (training/assessment/exams) + online learning modules + case studies
(You must carry out and document evidence of a minimum of 6 treatments)

Career potential:
Beauty therapist - employed or self-employed, working in a salon or spa or as a home / mobile therapist.
Additional costs:
You will need to purchase your own kits to bring to the training & in order to carry out your case studies, ie Facial kit (manicure/pedicure kit, facial kit, tinting kit, nail art kit, waxing kit) & massage oil/cream

  • If you already have therapist insurance - You should be able to add this therapy onto your current insurance
    If you do not have therapist insurance - You can take out student insurance while practicing, and top this up to therapist insurance when qualified.
