Course overview
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Beauty Therapy has been designed to develop your practical beauty therapy skills.

In this qualification you will cover body Swedish massage, health and safety skills, facial electrotherapy & stone therapy massage.

You will also develop sound theoretical knowledge and understanding to underpin all the practical skills gained throughout this qualification.

The subjects covered in this course:
Health & safety, client care, promote and sell products, Swedish massage, facial electrics (High frequency facial, galvanic facial, ems facial, micro-curent facial, lymphatic drainage facial) & stone therapy massage

This qualification is completed through the exam board - The VTCT (Vocational training and charitable trust); and is Ofqual regulated.

Alternative qualification:

We also offer an alternative Level 3 Beauty qualification:
VTCT Level 3 award in facial electrics - Please ask for further details.

How this could benefit your clients:
Help clients with muscular tension, relaxation and stress relief through swedish massage & stone therapy massage or advanced facial techniques using machines - microcurrent, high frequency, galvanic, lymphatic drainage and EMS.



Course information

Pre-requisite / Entry level:
We recommend you hold a facial qualification in order to complete the facial electrics unit.
Course format:
14 day practicals (training/assessment/exams) + online learning modules + case studies
(You must carry out and document evidence of a minimum of 6 treatments)
Attendance:
14 days practical
+ monthly video calls for coursework support (dates tbc)
Exam board:
VTCT - Vocational training & charitable trust
(Ofqual / government regulated - www.vtct.org.uk)

Career potential:
Beauty therapist - employed or self-employed, working in a salon or spa or as a home / mobile therapist.
Additional costs:
You will need to purchase your own kits to bring to the training & in order to carry out your case studies, ie Facial kit & massage oil/cream + electrical machines to be able to practice your facial electrics at home.

    If you do not have therapist insurance - You can take out student insurance while practicing, and top this up to therapist insurance when qualified.
