Course overview
Deep tissue massage is used for muscle tension, pain, posture RSI’s and sports men and women. It helps to keep muscles supple and flexible and to eliminate toxins and waste products. It is used to speed up recovery time of damaged and overworked tissues, prevent injuries and speed up recovery after injury. It also enhances performance.
Deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is likely that you will be treating many clients who are suffering with chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as painful shoulders, neck, upper & lower back, Tight IT bands, quads and hamstrings. Although you will be learning a routine, you will find that you will need to work mainly on the affected area, until the pain has eased.
